Build the best PC for $340.00, well that is if you do not want to include high performance video card to play games. If you want the gamming option I am recommending adding a 256meg X1600 Radeon for $83 more dollars.  This will bring the System total to $442 dollars.

I have been scanning the internet for weeks to find the best computer system for a very reasonable price of $442. Tom's Hardware did an article almost the same but, I am shooting for several different goals that may or may not apply to you.

The goals for my project will be:

I am planning a trip soon and need to take a computer down to my kids.  Here are the choices that I am looking at.  Once I get the computer set up, I plan on using Skype to communicate with my family.   I picked  two sites so that shipping and ordering parts would be easier and from reputable locations.  I must warn you that ordering anything on the web can be risky so the sites I picked will allow returns and are honest companies.  I chose  New Egg  and Zip Zoom Fly  ,who are two of the best sites on line.

Be sure to check out the Do it Yourself fan speed controller, I have two models so far and with a little electronics skill you should be able to make them.
